CARAG
Sept. 20, 5 a.m.–11:50 p.m.,
3200 block of Bryant Ave.
A 25-year-old man left his apartment in a hurry and forgot to lock the back door. When he returned home, he discovered an unknown suspect had entered his residence and stolen CDs and DVDs. Officers responding to the burglary were unable to locate any evidence left at the scene.

Cedar-Isles-Dean
Between Sept. 18, 8 p.m., and Sept. 19, 11 a.m., W. 29th St. and Dean Parkway
A 30-year-old man parked his vehicle legally on the street overnight. The next morning, the man discovered an unknown suspect had allegedly stolen his vehicle sometime during the night.

East Isles
Between Sept. 18, 3:30 p.m., and Sept. 19, 12:29 a.m., 3100 block of Chowen Ave.
A 46-year-old man returned home from work to discover an unknown suspect had burglarized his residence. The victim claims that no one beside himself has keys and that he remembers locking the door as he left and also having to unlock the door when he returned. Officers searched the residence but were unable to locate any evidence at the scene.

Kingfield
+Sept. 18, 4–5:30 p.m., 4500 block of Blaisdell Ave.
Two unidentified suspects robbed and assaulted two women, a 48-year-old and a 42-year-old. The 42-year-old victim was robbed. The 48-year-old woman was threatened with a tire jack. The 42-year-old was treated for the injuries she sustained during the assault.

Sept. 24, 12:15–9 a.m., 3500 block of 1st Ave.
A 32-year-old woman parked her vehicle legally on the street overnight. In the morning she discovered an unknown suspect had allegedly stolen the vehicle. The victim still has the keys and there was no glass found at the scene.

Lowry Hill East
+Sept. 23, 2:35 a.m., W. 26th St. and Bryant Ave.
Three unknown suspects robbed two women, a 25-year-old and a 24-year-old. Both victims sustained minor injuries on their faces but they refused medical attention. The suspects left the scene in a dark colored Cadillac.

Lyndale
Sept. 21, 8:40 p.m., 3300 block of Grand Ave.
Police executed a narcotics search warrant at an apartment. Officers arrested two suspects, a 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman at the residence. The police allegedly found 64.4 grams of marijuana inside. Both suspects were transported to Hennepin County Jail.

+Sept. 23, 4:50 a.m., W. 34th St. and Nicollet Ave.
Police responded to an assault victim being admitted to Hennepin County Medical Center. The victim, a 38-year-old man, told police that three suspects pulled him from his vehicle and pistol-whipped him, causing him severe injuries. The victim says he does not know the suspects.

Stevens Square
+Sept. 24, 3:30–4:15 p.m., E. 19th St. and Nicollet Ave.
An unknown suspect robbed and assaulted a 20-year-old man. The suspect allegedly demanded money and then shot the victim in the arm. The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

West Calhoun
Sept. 18, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., 3500 block of W. 32nd St.
An unknown suspect burglarized the apartment of a 47-year-old woman. While the victim was at work, the unknown suspect used an unknown tool to pry off the molding of the front door of her residence. Once inside, the suspect rummaged through the victim’s desk and stole various items. The victim claims this is the second time in a month that her apartment has been broken into and believes the suspect may be someone living in the apartment building.

Whittier
+Sept. 21, 11:25 p.m., address not available
Two unknown suspects robbed and assaulted two men, a 29-year-old and a 28-year-old. One of the victims sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen by a silver handgun. The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, 5 feet 10, medium build wearing all black clothing. The second suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, 5 feet 8, medium build also wearing all black clothing. The victim who sustained the gunshot wound was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

+Sept. 23, 1 a.m., 10 W. Lake St.
Police responded to a stabbing victim admitted at Hennepin County Medical Center. Once the officers arrived at HCMC, they learned the victim had been robbed and assaulted by an unknown suspect. The suspect allegedly slashed the victim with a knife and then stole his wallet. The victim needed to be given stitches for the wound he sustained.

+Sept. 21, 4:05 a.m., 2600 block of Stevens Ave.
An unknown suspect robbed a 20-year-old man at gunpoint. The victim described the suspect as being a black male in his early 20s, 5 feet 10, husky build with no facial hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap and black hooded sweatshirt. The victim did not sustain any injuries from the robbery.

Windom
Between Sept. 21, 5:30 p.m., and Sept. 23, noon, 5700 block of Pleasant Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the residence of a 51-year-old woman. The suspect allegedly entered through an unlocked rear door and removed the victim’s laptop.

Sept. 24, 2:30–7 a.m., 6100 block of Lyndale Ave.
A 28-year-old man parked his vehicle on the street. Early in the morning, the victim discovered an unknown suspect had allegedly stolen the vehicle. The victim still has the keys to the vehicle.

East Calhoun

Sept 16, 3:28 a.m., 3300 block of Irving Ave.

A 59-year-old man had his vehicle stolen from in front of his residence. The vehicle had been left unlocked at the time of the theft. A neighbor believes he witnessed the crime but was unable to describe the suspect.

East Harriet

Sept. 13, 7:53 p.m., W. 43rd St. and Colfax Ave.

Police received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle. An officer arrived at the scene and located the vehicle in question and found the occupant to be a 25-year-old man. The suspect was allegedly in possession of drugs and arrested. The officer transported the suspect to Hennepin County Jail on drug charges.

Kingfield

Sept. 6, 4:33 a.m., 3800 block of 1st Ave.

Police arrested a 20-year-old man for alleged motor vehicle theft. The owner of the vehicle is a 69-year-old man. Officers transported the suspect to Hennepin County Jail.

Lowry Hill

Between Sept. 16, 9:45 p.m., and Sept. 17, 8 a.m., 1800 block of Bryant Ave.

A 42-year-old woman entered the 5th Precinct Police Station to report a missing vehicle. The victim claims that her vehicle had been parked legally on the street overnight and when she returned the next morning discovered it gone. The victim still has the keys and no one had permission to use her vehicle. There are no suspects.

Lowry Hill East

+ Sept. 14, 2 a.m., Girard Ave and Lagoon Ave.

Two unknown suspects robbed and assaulted a 21-year-old man as he was leaving a local bar. The victim recognized the two suspects from inside the bar but did not know them. The suspects were described as skinny and “preppy”-looking white males, 5 foot 7 and 6 feet tall, respectively. They had allegedly started punching and kicking the victim in an alley before fleeing the scene. Loss from the robbery included a check card, driver’s license and watch. The victim sustained multiple injuries to his face and torso area from the assault and needed to be transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Sept. 17, 10:25 p.m., 2600 block of Bryant Ave.

Police officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress at the apartment of an 18-year-old man. Officers were able to locate a suspect, a juvenile male, behind the victim’s building. The suspect was positively identified as being one of the unknown number of people allegedly attempting to break into the victim’s residence. Officers transported the suspect to the Juvenile Detention Center.

Lyndale

+Sept. 15, 12:35 a.m., 3300 block of 1st Ave.

Two unknown suspects robbed and assaulted a 23-year-old man. The two suspects had been following the victim before punching him in the mouth and stealing his wallet. The victim declined any medical attention.

Lynnhurst

Sept. 11, 4:50-–5:15 p.m., 3800 block of Pillsbury Ave.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man for allegedly burglarizing the residence of a 39-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman. Officers transported the suspect to Hennepin County Jail.

West Calhoun

Sept. 17, midnight–8 a.m., 3100 block of Excelsior Blvd.

An unknown suspect allegedly stole the vehicle of a 47-year-old man. The suspect had allegedly used the vehicle’s keys in the theft; it is unspecified how the suspect came to be in possession of the keys in the first place.

Whittier

Sept. 11, 12:30–5:30 p.m., 100 block of E. 27th St.

Police officers witnessed a 27-year-old man jaywalking and when the officers exited their squad car, the man dropped the items he was carrying and took off running. The officers were able to detain the suspect after a short foot chase. Police later learned the suspect had allegedly broken into the home of a 25-year-old man right before police first saw him. The suspect was transported to Hennepin County Jail and booked for the alleged burglary.
