The Minnesota Department of Transportation released a statement warning residents and motorists that work continues throughout most of the project area for the week of Sept. 17.
That means you should watch for nighttime lane closures on I-35W and Highway 62 between 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Bridge work at the western junction of I-35W and Highway 62 will continue, weather permitting. Expect noise, as the work includes pile-driving and wall construction. There will be nighttime work in that area on a temporary bridge between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
There will also be daytime bridge work near Lyndale Avenue South on northbound I-35W/eastbound Highway 62, weather permitting. Expect noise for this, too, as the tasks include pile-driving.
Daytime work also continues on the Nicollet Avenue bridge at I-35W, as well as at the Portland Avenue bridge area, the 50th Street bridge, the Diamond Lake Road bridge and the I-35W bridge at Minnehaha Parkway.
Nicollet Avenue South under I-35W/Highway 62 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18 and Wednesday, Sept. 19. Crews will be setting beams for the bridge during the closures.
