Armatage
Between Aug. 24, 11 p.m., and Aug. 25, 8 a.m., 6000 block of Sheridan Ave.
A 58-year-old woman parked her vehicle in the driveway of her residence overnight. The next morning she discovered that an unknown suspect(s) had stolen the vehicle. The victim also found her garage door open but is unaware if any items are missing.

CARAG
Between Aug. 26, 10 p.m., and Aug. 27, 4:30 a.m., 3200 block of Girard Ave.
A 25-year-old man parked his 1988 Cadillac on the street overnight. The next morning, the victim discovered that an unknown suspect had stolen the vehicle. The victim still has the keys for the vehicle.

Aug. 31, 9:05 p.m., 3000 block of Lyndale Ave.
A 62-year-old woman had been sitting at a table outside a local business when an unknown suspect grabbed the victim’s purse from off the table and fled down the street.

Between Aug. 31, 9:30 p.m., and Sept. 1, 3:30 a.m., 3100 block of Girard Ave.
A 33-year-old woman left her apartment for the evening and when she returned home she went to sleep. The next morning, she discovered a few random items missing from her bedroom and living room. Police were unable to detect any signs of forced entry, and the victim has both sets of keys. There are no suspects.

East Isles
Between Aug. 25, 10 p.m., and Aug. 26, 5 a.m., 2500 block of E. Lake Isles Parkway
A 68-year-old woman had parked her vehicle in the driveway of a residence she had been visiting. The next morning, the victim discovered that sometime during the night someone had stolen her car.

Kenny
Between Aug. 29, 10 p.m., and Aug. 30, 8 a.m., 6000 block of James Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the residence of a 44-year-old woman. The victim had been sleeping when the suspect cut open a rear kitchen window screen and stole credit cards from her purse. The victim was informed that the suspect had already used the credit cards at two local businesses.

Lowry Hill
Between Aug. 25, 8 p.m., and Aug. 26, 1:05 a.m., 1700 block of Emerson Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the residence of a 55-year-old woman. The suspect is believed to have gained access to the residence through an unlocked rear sliding glass door and removed a statue from off a cabinet in the living room.

Aug. 29, noon-11:30 p.m., 1900 block of Hennepin Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the apartment of a 27-year-old woman. The victim had been out of the house when the suspect allegedly entered the residence and removed a computer from her bedroom. Police could not find any signs of forced entry and were unable to recover any physical evidence.

Lowry Hill East
Aug. 26, 11:34 p.m., 800 block of W. Lake St.
Police arrested a 20-year-old man for alleged narcotics violations. Two small baggies of suspected crack cocaine were recovered from the suspect. Officers transported the suspect to Hennepin County Jail.

+Aug. 29, 5:30 p.m., 800 block of W. Lake St.
Officers arrived at Hennepin County Medical Center to take a report on a 26-year-old man being assaulted. Once the officers arrived, they learned two unidentified suspects had also robbed the victim. The victim had received multiple injuries from the aggravated assault and robbery.

+Aug. 31, 7:55 a.m., 2400 block of Hennepin Ave.
An unknown suspect robbed a 26-year-old woman. The suspect had approached the victim, punched her in the shoulder, grabbed her purse and run away from the scene. The victim later recovered the purse but with unidentified items missing.

Lyndale
+Aug. 25, 9:15 p.m., 3400 block of 1st Ave.
A 21-year-old man had just parked his vehicle and was exiting when two unknown suspects approached. The first suspect punched the victim several times in the face and the second suspect struck the victim in the back of his head with a handgun, causing the victim to fall to the ground. The first suspect rummaged around in the victim’s pockets and removed his wallet, IDs and cash. Both suspects then grabbed the victim’s keys from off the ground and stole the vehicle. The victim needed to be treated by medics for bruising and lacerations but was released at the scene.

Aug. 27, 11-–11:30 p.m., 3400 block of Nicollet Ave.
Officers observed two suspects, an 18-year-old man and a juvenile male, loitering in front of a sign that said, “no loitering” at a local business. Officers stopped the two suspects and found several bags of suspected crack cocaine and two baggies of suspected marijuana in possession of the juvenile suspect. Officers transported him to the Juvenile Detention Center. The second suspect allegedly had a small amount of marijuana on his possession, received a citation and was released at the scene.

Aug. 28, 4:44 a.m., W. 31st St. and Pillsbury Ave.
Police arrested a 50-year-old man for alleged narcotics violations. The suspect allegedly had in his possession 11 small bags of suspected crack cocaine, a crack pipe and a cooking spoon. The suspect was booked at Hennepin County Jail.

Aug. 29, 8 a.m.–2:30 p.m., 3500 block of Nicollet Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the apartment of a 29-year-old man. The suspect had pried open the victim’s door with an unknown instrument before removing various items from inside. Another similar burglary took place in the adjacent apartment of a 26-year-old man during the same time frame.

Sept. 1, 2–8:45 p.m., 2600 block of Stevens Ave.
An unknown suspect burglarized the apartment of an 18-year-old woman and took some cash from the scene. The door the suspect had used to gain entry had been unlocked, and police could not find any physical evidence at the scene.

Stevens Square

+Aug. 25, 5–5:57 a.m., 1700 block of 3rd Ave.
An unidentified suspect allegedly stabbed a 36-year-old man in the chest. The victim would not cooperate with police and refused to tell where, when, why or how he had been stabbed. The victim needed to be transported to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.

West Calhoun
Sept. 3, 7:15–8:10 p.m., 4200 block of Sheridan Ave.
A 41-year-old man parked his vehicle in the rear parking lot of his apartment. During the above time frame, an unknown suspect allegedly stole the vehicle. The victim told police that the parking lot is not well lit, and he has had his vehicle stolen from there in the past. He still has the keys, and no broken glass was found in the area where the vehicle had been parked.

Whittier
+Aug. 21, 4:10 p.m., W. 22nd St. and Nicollet Ave.
An unidentified suspect robbed an intoxicated 37-year-old woman. The suspect had allegedly asked the victim for money and when she refused, the suspect punched her in the mouth twice and then reached into victim’s pocket and removed some change. The victim had sustained a minor injury to her lower lip but refused any medical help. Officers located a possible suspect nearby but the victim had already left the area.

Sept. 2, 10 p.m.–midnight, 2700 block of 2nd Ave.
A 43-year-old man had parked his vehicle in the back alley of his apartment when an unknown suspect allegedly stole it. The victim has the only set of keys for the vehicle.

CARAG

Between Aug. 17, 11 p.m., and Aug. 18, 8:15 p.m., 3500 block of Fremont Ave.

An unknown suspect(s) allegedly burglarized the residence of a 55-year-old woman. The victim had been home at the time of the burglary. The suspect(s) entered the residence through a ground level window by cutting a screen and removing a fan that had been in the window. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed the victim’s backpack that contained various items before fleeing the scene. Some of the victim’s items had been recovered a short time later at a neighbor’s house.

East Calhoun

Between Aug. 18, 11:30 p.m., and Aug. 19, 1:30 a.m., 3000 block of James Ave.

An unknown suspect(s) allegedly burglarized the residence of a 22-year-old woman. The victim’s apartment had been accessed through an unlocked door. The suspect(s) removed various items from the apartment before fleeing the scene.

Kingfield

+ Aug. 15, 5:40 p.m., 3700 block of 1st Ave. S.

Two unknown suspects carjacked a vehicle at gunpoint being driven by a 41-year-old man. The owner of the vehicle is a 56-year-old man. The victim that had been driving told police that he would be able to identify both suspects if seen again.

Lowry Hill

Aug. 14, 7:15 a.m.–6:20 p.m., 2100 block of Bryant Ave.

An unknown suspect allegedly kicked in the front door of a 42-year-old woman’s apartment in order to gain access. Once inside, the suspect proceeded to remove unidentified items from inside the apartment before fleeing the scene.

Lyndale

+ Aug. 14, 12:10 a.m., 3100 block of Pillsbury Ave.

Three suspects robbed and assaulted a 42-year-old man. The victim told officers that he had been held down, choked and then robbed by the suspects. Officers were able to locate one of the suspects, a 42-year-old woman, who was positively identified by the victim. Police arrested the suspect and transported her to Hennepin County Jail.

Aug. 14, 1:45–2:47 a.m., W. 31st St. and Nicollet Ave.

Officers arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of auto theft. The vehicle, owned by a 29-year-old man, had been stolen in a strong-arm carjacking the previous day. The 28-year-old arrestee had allegedly been seen getting into the vehicle right after the vehicle had been carjacked. The suspect was booked at Hennepin County Jail.

+ Aug.17, 9:15 p.m., W. 33rd St. and Pillsbury Ave.

Four or five unknown suspects robbed and assaulted a 19-year-old man. The victim needed to be transported via ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center to receive treatment for the injuries he sustained from the assault.

Tangletown

Aug. 20, 2–3:25 p.m., 3400 Blaisdell Ave.

An unknown male suspect burglarized a vacant home owned by a 60-year-old woman. The suspect had allegedly removed copper piping from the basement used for gas and water lines, including the water meter which meant the water couldn’t be shut off from inside and needed to be done by the city water department. A neighbor informed police that he saw a suspicious male throw some metal he had been carrying into the trunk of a dark green Honda Civic four-door, being driven by a female.

Whittier

Between Aug. 14, 10:30 p.m., and Aug. 15, 8 a.m., 2400 block of 4th Ave. S.

A 28-year-old woman parked her vehicle in the rear parking lot of her apartment complex overnight. The next morning she discovered an unknown suspect had stolen the vehicle. There was no broken glass found at the scene and the victim still has possession of the keys.

Aug. 16, 5:15 p.m., 2200 block of 3rd Ave. S.

A police officer on patrol witnessed two people, a 42-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, sitting on a park bench with a thin, brown paper bag with them. The officer approached the two and asked how they were doing. The female suspect told the officer they had just drank a couple of beers. Officer then observed that each had an open can of beer in their possession. While searching the suspects, the officer discovered that the male suspect had a small bag of suspected marijuana in his possession. Both suspects received citations and were released at the scene.

Aug. 18, 4:50–5:05 a.m., 2600 block of Pillsbury Ave.

An unknown male suspect allegedly burglarized the residence of a 37-year-old woman. The victim and her children had been sleeping when the suspect entered the residence through a sliding screen door. The suspect proceeded to remove an old, broken bass guitar and then fled from the residence. The victim caught a glimpse of the suspect and described him as being 17–18 years old, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 in height, with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing a dark baseball cap.

+ Aug. 18, 5:51 p.m., W. 24th St. and Grand Ave.

Unknown suspects robbed and assaulted a 24-year-old man. The victim had to be seen by medics for the injuries he sustained in the assault but refused transportation to the hospital.

Windom

Aug. 15, 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., 5700 block of Harriet Ave.

A 30-year-old man returned home to find his front door slightly ajar. Inside he discovered that an unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and removed three laptop computers. No one had been home at the time of the burglary and there were no signs of forced entry.
