Boom, boom: On go the nights of Crosstown reconstruction

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has issued another advisory on the progress of the Crosstown reconstruction project, with “excess noise and vibrations” expected at the eastern junction of I-35W and Highway 62 this week.

MnDOT also advises motorists that nighttime lane closures will be occurring nightly between 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. in that same area. Crews will be setting concrete barriers, excavating dirt and pouring concrete.

Bridge work near Lyndale Avenue South and northbound I-35W/eastbound Highway 62 continues in the coming week as well, weather permitting.

The Portland Avenue bridge area on westbound 62 will include wall construction and nighttime lane closures. Bridge work will also be taking place at the 50th Street bridge and at the I-35W bridge over Minnehaha Creek and Minnehaha Parkway.
