Local crafts, handmade clothing and “all manner of pretty little things” will be presented at “+/-”, or Plusminus, an arts and fashion show that will be held at the Soo Visual Arts Center on Thursday, August 23.
“People can expect some of the finest handcrafted goods that local designers and makers have to offer,” according to Barrett Johanneson of Labrador, a fashion label that will be featured at +/-. “It’s a really great opportunity for people in Minneapolis to see what kinds of things are being made right in their own community.”
Hand-printed letterpress stationary, one-of-a-kind fashion and jewelry, fine press books and other gifts will be available at the show.
Artists and designers who will be at +/- include UNIFORM studio, ohbara, Boiled Art, Milkypop, Too Many Suitors and Brittany Foster and Gendun Editions.
The show runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 2640 Lyndale Ave. Light refreshments will be served, and admission is free and open to the public.
