12th victim pulled from collapse site

Divers recovered the body of Scott Sathers from the I-35W bridge collapse site Sunday morning, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

Recovery workers pulled Sathers, 30, of Blaine and a vehicle from the site at about 8:30 a.m., according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office. He is the 12th victim of the collapse identified by authorities. One other person, Greg Jolstad, 45, of Mora remains missing. 

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is leading the recovery effort. The United States Navy Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit is also assisting with the water recovery work.

The other victims of the bridge collapse include Julia Blackhawk, 32, of Savage; Patrick Holmes, 36, of Moundsview; Artemio Trinidad-Mena, 29, of Minneapolis; Sherry Lou Engebretsen, 60, of Shoreview; Paul Eickstadt, 51, of Moundsview; Peter Hausmann, 47, of Rosemount; Sadiya Sahal, 22, and her 22-month-old daughter Hana of St. Paul; Richard Chit, 20, and Vera Peck, 50, of St. Anthony; and Christina Sacorafas-Mosher, 45, of White Bear Lake.
