According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Minnehaha Parkway at I-35W will be closed at designated times through the end of August.
The parkway closures will allow work on the I-35W bridge which is part of the Crosstown Reconstruction project.
Signs will be posted in the affected area prior to closure. During the closures a pedestrian and bike path along Minnehaha Creek will be open.
Minnehaha Parkway is scheduled to be closed Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and beginning Monday, August 6, for three weeks.

Nighttime Construction Activities
Nighttime construction activities are needed in order to complete the Project work within the schedule and when lane closures on the freeways are allowed. Weather permitting; the following areas will have nighttime construction activities between 10 pm and 6 am:
Northbound I-35W near 2nd Avenue S between Minnehaha Creek and 50th Street
Work activities: Excavation and demolition of noise wall
Duration: Nightly, through the end of July 2007.
Northbound I-35W near 2nd Avenue S between Diamond Lake Road and 46th Street
Work activities: Excavation and hauling of dirt for widening of northbound I-35W.
Duration: Occasionally, through the end of August 2007.
Southbound I-35W near Stevens Avenue S and Diamond Lake Road
Work activities: Excavation and hauling of dirt for Diamond Lake Road bridge and retaining
Duration: Continues nightly through the end of July 2007 (More excavation operations that also occur after 10 pm will follow at a later date.)
Westbound Hwy 62 near 62nd Street between the Soo Line Railroad and Nicollet Avenue S
Work activities: Hauling and unloading of dirt
Duration: Continues nightly through the end of August 2007.
