Peeper popped by police

The Hennepin County Community Corrections Fugitive Team arrested convicted window “peeper” Calvin James Jennings, 31, late this morning in North Minneapolis.

Jennings, who has been known to frequent the 5th Precinct and University of Minnesota, walked away from a halfway house about two weeks ago, about a month before completing a 16-month sentence partially served in prison for window peeping.

Jennings’ supervising agent Will McDonald said the convict left through an unsecured door. Halfway house staff discovered he was missing after a routine head count, McDonald said.

The fugitive team found Jennings after a relative he was staying with heard about his status as a wanted man from a neighbor and called police. Jennings will serve the rest of his sentence in prison, McDonald said.
