This Thursday, the city is holding another of its Wireless Minneapolis informational sessions about its citywide wireless network. The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at Lyndale Farmstead Park, 3900 Bryant Ave. S.
The meetings inform members of the public about the progress of the construction of the city’s wireless network. Participants will also learn about the process of developing regional portal pages (web pages that will “greet” users of the Minneapolis wireless system). They’ll also be encouraged to submit ideas on the content these pages should contain.
Thursday’s meeting in Southwest roughly coincides with the tentative August completion date for the construction of the wireless network in that area of the city.
Another meeting in Southwest is scheduled for August 15 at Lyndale Farmstead Park.
