The draft of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s Comprehensive Plan is available for review through August 3.
According to a statement from the Park Board, the plan “sets a vision for the future of the Minneapolis park system.”
The formulation of the plan included mailing questionnaires to 172,300 households. Plus, the board held meetings, put together focus groups, conducted a phone survey and held workshops.
The plan is available for your perusal at www.minneapolisparks.org, at park recreation centers, district offices and Minneapolis public libraries.
In addition, two open houses will be held:
12:30-2 p.m., July 19, Loring Park Community Center
7-8:30 p.m., July 24, Folwell Park Recreation Center, 1615 Dowling Ave. N.,
The Park Board will gather public input on August 15 at 2117 W. River Rd.
The final version of the Comprehensive Plan will be submitted to the Park Board this fall for approval.
