Hennepin County has moved its workers out of the Ramar Building, 111 E. Franklin Ave., and is deciding the fate of the old welfare building.
To improve efficiency, the county consolidated its economic assistance workers elsewhere, said County Commissioner Gail Dorfman (District 3). The only thing left in the Ramar building is a county call center.
Dorfman said the Abraham Lincoln School was interested in February, but dropped out in April. Lincoln officials didn’t return calls.
Citizens can comment at a neighborhood meeting Mon. Aug. 19, 6:30 p.m., at Whittier School, West 26th Street and Grand Avenue.
