The Temple Israel, 2324 Emerson Ave. S., is hosting its 18th annual ‘Temple Israel Sisterhood's Family Garage Sale' Sunday, July 30-Wednesday, Aug. 2. It's the group's largest fundraiser of the year.
Items for sale include clothing, antiques, jewelry, books, toys, household items, electronics and sporting goods. A silent auction with some collectable items will also be part of the event.
Sale hours are Sunday, noon-6 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Wednesday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, July 30 is the preview sale with a $5 admission charge - food and beverages will be available.
On Tuesday, Aug. 1 all items - except books - will be half price, $5 per bag. Designer clothing and jewelry will be 25 percent off the regular asking price. The silent suction will close Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 2 is “Bag Day,” wherein bags can be purchased and filled with merchandise - prices range between $8-$20. On Wednesday, designer clothing and jewelry will also be half off.
Proceeds from the sale will go to Temple Israel's programs, youth scholarships and community programs, including the Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP), the Harriet Tubman Women's Shelter, Minnesota AIDS Project, the Jeremiah Program and Habitat for Humanity.
