Free bus rides offered on St. Patrick’s Day

Metro Transit is again offering free bus/light-rail rides on St. Patrick's Day, Thursday, March 17. The promotion is intended to encourage "responsible" St. Patrick's Day celebrations and offer partiers and nonpartiers a safe way to get home.

The free rides start at 6 p.m. and run until 3 a.m., one hour past bar closing. Riders will not be charged a fare and won't need to submit coupons. The program, Miller Free Rides, is a partnership between Metro Transit, the East Side Beverage Company and the Miller Brewing Company.
