A tool for finding voting precincts

Seven polling places in Minneapolis have moved to new locations this year, which means Minneapolis residents might want to double check their voting location before heading out the door Nov. 7.

The city has an online tool at www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/elections/precinct-finder.asp where residents simply type in their address to receive detailed information about their polling place.

Polls for the general election will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Preregistration is closed, but voters can register at the polls by providing one of the forms of identification required by Minnesota law. More information about those forms of identification can be found at www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/elections under the &#8220Election Day Registration” link.

The Minneapolis Elections office can be reached at 612-673-2070 and the Hennepin County Elections office can be reached at 612-348-5151.
