A group of men assaulted and robbed a man at 40th Street and Bryant Avenue South in the early morning hours of Feb. 23.
The victim was walking when four men approached him. The suspects hit the victim and pushed him to the ground. They then robbed him, according to Crime Prevention Specialist Tom Thompson.
Officers set up a perimeter that enabled them to arrest one of the four suspects about a block from the location of the incident. The suspect police arrested is a 20-year-old man who gave officers a home address in St. Paul.
Police are not releasing further details about the other three suspects at this time.
Thompson did not know if the victim was injured during the assault, but according to the police report, the victim did not receive medical treatment at the scene.
