Home improvement projects often start out small and simple, but easily grow into monstrous undertakings that bombard homeowners with unfamiliar issues - for example; do you know the dangers of old laminate flooring?
To aid home renovators, the Southwest Journal, along with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and House Lift, a Southwest renovation company, will host a Home Improvement Fair on Saturday, April 8 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Southwest High School, 3414 W. 47th St.
The fair will offer a broad range of information and ideas for home remodeling projects. In addition to many exhibits and vendors, speakers will also be on hand to offer specialized advice. An expert speaker from Otogawa-Anschel, a home renovation company, will discuss topics like green remodeling, and NARI's Jim Koontz will discuss how to remodel a vintage home.
The event is free, and door prizes and drawings will be offered. The majority of fair vendors are from Southwest Minneapolis.
