Learn about Southwest history at a community school class on Monday, Feb. 1 from 7-9 p.m. at Washburn High School, 201 W. 49th St. The class is $15. Maps are $2 extra.
Tangletown resident and local historian Tom Balcom will lead the discussion on historic aspects of neighborhoods, including early uses of the riverfront and downtown development.
Slides will illustrate how the landscape and landmarks have changed through time.
This class was added due to the popularity of Balcom's previous talk on Tangletown history.
