The Cedar-Isles-Dean Neighborhood Association (CIDNA) is hosting a Wednesday, Jan. 26 neighborhood meeting to talk about two 100-unit-or-more housing redevelopments.
CIDNA President Chad Larsen said at the 7 p.m. meeting the respective developers would present plans and gather neighborhood input from residents.
The two projects are:
– A 100-unit high-end condominium project planned for the Warco-Variant building site at, 3104 W. Lake St. St. Louis Park-based Mathwig Development hopes to start construction in late 2005 and have units ready for occupancy in 2007.
– The redevelopment of the former Ministers Life Insurance headquarters at 3100 W. Lake St. (behind the Lake Pointe Corporate Centre) into 150 rental units. Uptown developer Stuart Ackerberg and the Village Green Company are teaming up for this project, which could start construction in late 2005, followed by occupancy by late 2006.
The public meeting will be held at the Jones Harrison Residence, 3700 Cedar Lake Avenue.
The CIDNA neighborhood covers the territory approximately between Knox and France avenues and between the southern shores of Cedar Lake and Lake of the Isles to Lake Street.
