Southwest Crime-Prevention Specialist Jennifer Neale issued a crime alert in December about burglaries of vacant homes for sale in which similar items were stolen.
The burgled locations include homes on the 2400 block of Girard Avenue South, the 3400 block of Pillsbury Avenue and the 3300 block of Grand Avenue.
The items stolen included "antique-style windows, mirrors and other fixtures." She said in the alert that burglar sells the stolen items to antique stores and restoration businesses.
Neale urges residents to notify their neighbors with for-sale homes and also those in the real estate business. For burglary questions or other home-safety queries, contact Neale at 673-2819 or [email protected].mn.us.
