Residents of 24th Street in the Wedge neighborhood are discussing parking restrictions with the city and will approach the neighborhood group this month with more information.
That section of 24th Street runs between Hennepin and Lyndale avenues.
Steve Nelson, a Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association (LHENA) board member, who wants more parking, said residents want more parking; drivers currently can only park on the street’s south side, and not during rush hour.
Nelson said new options being discussed are:
– 24-hour parking on the south side of the street only; or
– 24-hour parking on both sides of the street with rush-hour restrictions on the north side.
More information will be available at LHENA’s Wednesday, July 21 meeting, when the board may decide what to support.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at an undetermined location. To get the location, or for more LHENA information, visit www.thewedge.org or call 377-5023.
