Feb. 12, 8 p.m., 3000 block of Lyndale Ave. S. A victim left his black 1995 Chevy Blazer running in a parking lot while he ran into a business. He returned to find the car stolen.

Feb. 23. 12:20 a.m., Figlios, 3000 block of Hennepin Ave. S. Officers cited and released a suspect for theft after he left the restaurant, failing to pay his tab for seven shots of Absolut vodka and a pack of cigarettes. When questioned, the suspect said he had no intention or means of paying. A Calhoun Square security guard stopped the suspect and performed a citizen’s arrest, holding him until officers responded to the scene. The individual was also issued "No Trespassing" papers for Calhoun Square.

East Isles

Feb. 12, noon, 2600 block of Irving Ave. S. A suspect stole the prescription anti-depressant Welbeupain from a victim’s grocery bag.

Kingfield

Feb. 11, 1:26 a.m., 4400 block of Harriet Ave. A suspect entered a house while the occupants were home and stole a purse from a hanger near the back door.

Feb. 11, 9:05 p.m., 3600 block of Nicollet Ave. S. Derek McCool, 44, walked in front of a squad car in the road, almost getting struck and was then stopped by officers and allegedly found to possess suspected crack cocaine. He was arrested and charged with a narcotics violation.

Feb. 14, 7:17 p.m., 4500 block of Nicollet Ave. S. A victim left her lime green 1993 Toyota Tercel running while she ran into a store and she returned to find it stolen.

Feb. 15, 1:01 a.m., 3800 block of Stevens Ave. S. Officers responded to a theft in progress and arrested Tyre Daniel Benson, 19, for allegedly attempting to steal a car. They charged him with motor vehicle theft, trying to flee police, possession of burglary tools and damage to property. He was booked at Hennepin County Jail.

Feb. 19, 8:25 p.m., 10 block of E. 37th St. Officers responded to reports that a gun had been fired and recovered a shotgun at the scene.

Linden Hills

Feb. 15, 4 a.m., 4500 block of Drew Ave. S. A male victim was struck with a baseball bat by a suspect and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Between 5: 30 p.m., Feb. 18 and 9 a.m., Feb. 19, Lake Harriet Spirit Community Church, 4400 block of Upton Ave. S. Someone robbed the church office, stealing a safe, two checkbooks, and $100.

Lyndale

Feb. 11, 11 p.m., 3500 block of Grand Ave. S. A victim went to the 5th Precinct to report a theft. The report stated the victim explained he’d met a suspect at midnight in Loring Park and brought him back to his apartment. When the victim awoke the following day, he found the suspect had robbed him and stolen his vehicle. Other stolen items included a gold ring and necklace, a black bag, insulin, prescription glasses, a scarf and gloves, a checkbook, a cell phone, a fanny pack, a backpack and 15 credit cards. The victim reported he’d located his car in the Loring Park neighborhood, where he believes the suspect lives, and was able to get the keys from the suspect. However, the victim still doesn’t know the suspect’s name.

Feb. 13, 5:35 a.m., W. 34th St. and Lyndale Ave. S. Officers arrested Douglas Paul Pierce, 36, and charged him with a weapons ordinance and a narcotics violation. Julie Kay Hall, 21, was also arrested and charged with a narcotics violation.

Feb. 13, 5:20 p.m., 2500 block of Lyndale Ave. S. A victim parked in front of a business and left his car running with the keys inside. He returned to find the blue 1989 Skylark stolen.

Feb. 17, 3:10 p.m., 100 block of W. Lake St. Officers arrested Desmond Latrell Williams, 21, on a narcotics violation and impounded his car. He was booked at Hennepin County Jail.

Feb. 18, 4:26 a.m., 3000 block of Pleasant Ave. Officers responded to a robbery of person, with the suspect using a box cutter as a weapon and stealing approximately $200. Officers later apprehended the suspect, Terri Renee Fate, 36, and charged her with aggravated robbery. She was booked at Hennepin County Jail.

Feb. 20, 2:30 p.m., 3100 block of Lyndale Ave. S. Someone stole a white 2004 Lincoln Town car.

Feb. 21, 12:30 p.m., 3300 block of Blaisdell Ave. A recreation supervisor had her purse in an unlocked office and returned to find $20, her cell phone, bus pass and check card missing. She said she saw suspects headed towards the office, but they denied taking anything.

Feb. 21, 9 p.m., W. 34th St. and Blaisdell Ave. A group of six kids, ages 11 to 15, were assaulted and robbed by a group of suspects. One of the suspects was apprehended and identified by a witness. The 13-year-old suspect was then arrested and charged with robbery of person and booked at the Juvenile Detention Center.

Stevens Square

Feb. 11, between 1:15 a.m. and 1 p.m., 200 block of E. 19th St. A victim left her 2002 black Honda Civic running and unlocked, while she ran into a building. She returned to find the car stolen. The victim was issued a ticket for leaving the car running unattended.

Tangletown

Feb. 11, 5:30 p.m., Mr. Movies, 600 block of W. 54th St. Officers arrested Michael Timothy Byer, 32, and Chinyelu Nantambu Hondo, 55, for theft and possession of burglary tools, after receiving a call from witnesses of the alleged theft.

Feb. 17, 4:30 p.m., W. 47th St. and Nicollet Ave. S. Three young males allegedly robbed a 15-year-old male, stealing 60 CDs from his backpack. The victim refused medical attention.

Wedge

Feb. 12, between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., 2500 block of Dupont Ave. S. Someone entered a victim’s apartment through the front door and stole two gold and diamond rings and one diamond studded pair of earrings, with a combined worth of more than $1,600 from a dresser drawer in the bedroom.

Whittier

Feb. 11, 5:30 p.m., Lake St. and Stevens Ave. A female victim reported that three young, black males grabbed her while she was waiting for the bus and took her purse, containing her ID, birth certificate, keys, checkbook and wedding ring. The victim tried to chase the suspects but lost them.

Feb. 11, 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., 130 block of E. 27th St. Officers executed a narcotics search warrant, resulting in the arrest of Antoinette Cherie Brewer, 32, and Floyd Spencer Williams, 27, both charged with a narcotics violation. Williams was also charged with an outstanding warrant. Two other individuals were given a disorderly house citation.

Feb. 14, 12:05 a.m., 27th St., and Nicollet Ave. S. Officers arrested Sean Connerly Williams, 28, after they allegedly witnessed him participate in a hand-to-hand transaction. He struck an officer when approached and tried to flee. He was apprehended after a short foot chase and hospitalized, then charged with assault.

Feb. 16, 1:50 p.m., 2600 block of Pillsbury Ave. S. Someone stole $70 from a victim and fled.

Feb. 17, noon, 2200 block of 1st Ave. S. A suspect stole a jacket, gloves and a car remote from the lobby of an address.

Feb. 18, 1:20 p.m., 2400 block of Nicollet Ave. S. A suspect approached three female victims and held a knife to one’s neck. One of the victims knocked the knife from the suspect’s hand, and the suspect fled.

Feb. 19, 2:06 p.m., 5 block of E. Franklin Ave. Officers arrested Christopher Bernard Harris, 38, on two outstanding warrants and charged him with a narcotics violation. Valerie Anne Wilson, 36, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. Both were booked at Hennepin County Jail.

Feb. 19, 7:08 p.m., 2500 block of 3rd Ave. S. Officers executed a search warrant and arrested Dennis Gray, 19, and charged him with a narcotics violation. He was booked at Hennepin County Jail.

Feb. 19, 7:10 p.m., 2500 block of 3rd Ave. S. Officers conducted a search warrant and arrested Schnaut Deante Currie, 18 and Anthony Darcell Johnson, 19 and charged them with a narcotics violation, booking them at Hennepin County Jail. Other parties were cited for a disorderly house and released.

Feb. 19, 8 p.m., 2500 block of Nicollet Ave. S. Someone stole a tan 1996 Chevrolet Blazer, containing a purse holding $1,000 and two credit cards.

Between 9 p.m., Feb. 19 and 10:20 a.m., Feb. 20, 2600 block of Pillsbury Ave. S. Someone stole a light blue Chevrolet Celebrity from a parking lot. No glass was found at the scene.

Feb. 21, 12:30 a.m., 10 block of 27th Ave. S. A victim stood on the sidewalk outside a restaurant, when a suspect approached her from behind and stole her purse, containing a driver’s license, a check book, a credit card, a cell phone, a pay stub, a gift card and house keys. The suspect fled on foot.

Feb. 21, 12:40 p.m., W. 22nd St. and Nicollet Ave. S. A suspect ripped a victim’s purse from her shoulder while she walked down the street. Her purse contained an ID, ATM cards and personal checks. However, officers responded later that day to a trespassing call in the area and arrested David West Dixon, 32, for the alleged crime, charging him with robbery of person. He was booked at Hennepin County Jail.

Windom

Feb. 11, 3 p.m., Weinsch Automotive Services, 10 block of 58th St. Someone burglarized a business, stealing a brown 1981 Chevrolet Malibu.

Feb. 12, 11:48 p.m., W. 59th St. and Nicollet Ave. S. Officers arrested four male juveniles after a traffic stop, ranging in ages from 14 to 17. The 17-year-old driver was arrested and charged with motor vehicle theft and a narcotics violation after officers found four suspected rocks of crack. The 14-year-old was arrested and charged with tampering with a motor vehicle. One of the 16-year-olds was arrested and charged with an outstanding warrant and tampering with a motor vehicle; the other 16-year-old was cited for a curfew violation. All were booked at the Juvenile Detention Center.

Feb. 20, between 6: 30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., 100 block of W. 59th St. Someone stole a personalized license plate from a parked car, reading "VIKFANS."

Feb. 22, 2:55 a.m., 5500 block of Nicollet Ave. S. A suspect struck a victim on the forehead with a dinner plate, causing facial lacerations. The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center via ambulance.

Feb. 22, 9 a.m., W. 60th St. and Nicollet Ave. S. A suspect punched and choked a victim and threatened to kill him with a knife, before witnesses intervened to separate the two.
