The 6th annual Kenwood public school fundraiser, Kenwood Crawl, will be held at Kenwood Park on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9 to 11 a.m. The school is for children grades K-5.
At the Crawl students, families, teachers and school staff walk around the park to raise money for the school. There is food and prizes for kids when they complete the walk. Students collect donations and put the money toward school math and reading programs. K.C. Foley, Crawl co-chair and a parent of twin 5th graders, said with recent budget cutbacks, fundraisers are increasingly important to schools.
