Campaign finance reports for Minneapolis City Council candidates aren’t due until Jan. 31, but Ward 10 candidates have already filed their fundraising totals for 2012.
Money is flowing quickly into the race to unseat incumbent Meg Tuthill.
The Ward 10 race is by far the most competitive of the 13 seats up for grabs in November. Tuthill has four challengers. No other races have more than two candidates yet.
Tuthill already had $10,000 before raising money in 2012, so she has a head start on her challengers.
Here’s a list of fundraising totals that candidates reported for 2012:
Meg Tuthill- $18,064 (no loans to campaign)
Ken Bradley: $12,294 (loaned his campaign $8,600)
Lisa Bender: $8,928 (loaned her campaign $3,000)
Kendal Killian- $11,268 (loaned his campaign $272)
Nate Griggs: Nothing on file yet. Griggs is working in Afghanistan until later this spring.
