The former Soo Visual Arts Center and Zeus Jones office at 2638-50 Lyndale Ave. S. is turned over to the restaurant Lynhall, which is planning a television studio dedicated to filming cooking shows.
“We are a café, a marketplace, a TV kitchen studio and an incubator kitchen,” Lynhall founder Anne Spaeth said at a public hearing in February. “We do see ourselves as being really an institution in the neighborhood. We have signed a 10-year lease and we see ourselves being a long-standing member of that community.”
The restaurant would have seating capacity of 153 people inside and 28 outside.
Spaeth said the venue would not operate as a bar. The new business is seeking city approval for business licenses including a liquor license.
